Certified first-aid personnel, trained to a level appropriate to the workplace hazards, must always be available to render assistance; maintained first-aid boxes must be provided and accessible according to the nature, size and type of operation (UK model: trained person in charge above 150 workers).

No training delivery mode is prescribed; workplace first-aid training combining online theory with a practical assessment is accepted.

本课程为期16小时的急救培训符合CSA Z1210-17标准，专为医疗保健专业人员设计。培训结束后，学员将获得为期两年的有效认证，满足CSA Z1210-17标准中「中级急救培训」的要求。相关能力每年更新一次，培训须每两年续期一次以保持认证有效。本课程专为护士设计，可加强长期护理中心（CHSLD）及其他护理环境中受益人的安全。
确实需要“工作场所急救”证书？
该特定法定证书必须在立法机构处完整完成：Occupational Safety and Health Department, Ministry of Labour and Social Security。
Jamaica is the regional exception: the regulations require the appointed first-aider's training to be 'approved by the Commissioner.' This is a qualification-recognition mechanism, not open employer discretion — a provider not recognised by the Commissioner may not satisfy the statute. Our non-accredited training (online theory + practical assessment) can complement but does not guarantee compliance where the Commissioner's approval is required; the OSH Act 2017, being brought into force, may specify an approval regime.
